Job Description. Precise is looking for an experienced Vice President for Business Development who enjoys the challenge of pursuing and winning. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the leadership team, the VP is charged with expanding Precise business with an emphasis on organic growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced business development professional to bring his/her unique set of skills and relationships to a dynamic and growing company.. Key Duties and Responsibilities. Main responsibilities include planning, organizing, and managing the captures within the U.S. Government Information Technology markets with a focus on Health agencies such as Human and Health Services (HHS and its operating divisions). Specifically, the selected candidate will:. Work with corporate leadership team to define Precise long-term and short-term business development strategy including a 8(a) graduation strategy. Promote Precise core capabilities in the areas of strategic consulting, system integration and modernization, emerging technology adoption, and data management. Seek out and source new clients and partners by developing networks and independently identifying and developing relevant resources for business development. Work towards business development goals as established in partnership with the leadership team. Leverage customer relationships and personal experience to identify and assess potential for specific opportunities that result in measurable revenue growth. Lead capture efforts to successful completion. Develop the overall capture strategy, internal and external partnerships, business plans and marketing. Manage capture personnel, coordinate with responsible lines/accounts, align resources required for the pursuit of opportunities.. Design, maintain and execute formal capture plans and monitor competitor activity for each capture. Lead and facilitate win strategy including: technical/management, teaming, past performance, staffing, pricing, etc.. Lead the development of customer profiles including customer needs, issues, hopes, and biases. Lead and coordinate competitive assessments determining the strengths and weaknesses of Precise and potential competitors. Collect business intelligence and identify gaps and emerging requirements. Manage win strategy and solution review process for capture plans. Ensure development of solutions that offer competitive distinction and readily executable approaches. Lead and coordinate teaming activities and decisions. Prepare and lead Milestone Reviews to report metrics and manage risks. Develop B&P spend plans and track all associated expenses with the capture effort. Required Skills/Attributes of the Ideal Candidate. Precise seeks confident, resourceful and self-initiating team players with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-pronged work environment where each individual contributor is expected to drive projects forward while also working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.. Extensive experience in full life cycle business development and leading capture of U.S. Federal Government IT opportunities. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15 years of experience in the government IT industry with track record of leading organic growth. Advanced degree preferred. Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds. Mature leadership style that aligns with an open and transparent corporate culture. Ability to identify and assemble resources for customer analysis, competitive analysis, capture strategy development, solution development and translation of strategy and solution into winning proposals. Deep understanding of pricing, baseline pricing strategies, and the evolution of pricing strategies into business strategies that are competitive and compelling for the customer. Knowledge of and strong contacts within the systems integrator and professional services community to facilitate the development of strategic teaming relationships. Interest in working as part of a small and growing company, with awareness about the opportunities and challenges that come with a highly adaptive environment. HHS experience is required.
