Technical Project Manager/Business Analyst - LA, CA

Under minimal supervision, PMIS Implementation Project manager must excel at developing and keeping optimal relationships with clients, managing their expectations, must be comfortable managing cross functional teams that work remotely, must work hand in hand with other project managers, client representatives and collaboratively in a team, must be analytical and able to see the big picture, must be open to traveling from time to time.
BS degree required, (Computer Science or other technical subject area preferred)
10-15 years of experience in project management/project controls with a minimum of 5 years of PMIS implementation
Minimum 5 years of project management and systems implementation experience preferred
Experience in the Project Controls and consulting industry
Experience working in a cross functional environment, a plus
Organized and adaptable, self-motivated team player
Experience working with senior decision makers
Prior Experience with implementing PMIS in Public client sector
Prior experience with systems integration and data migration
Acting as the engagement lead with the client and manage the project's scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.
Planning and monitoring overall project implementation
Developing technical solutions to business problems
Eliciting, defining, analyzing and documenting business requirements
Managing requirements at the project level to ensure business needs are fulfilled.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
Understanding of systems engineering concepts
Managing and overseeing data Integration and migration from other systems
The core skills include:
Proven experience in people management, strategic planning and Change Management
Good technical writing and communication skills are a must
Experience with Unifier and/or E-builder and/or PMWeb is a plus
