Hanna Resource Group, a human resource consulting firm, is growing and looking for a dedicated, smart, and personable Human Resources Consultant to join our team. The HR Consultant role provides guidance and strategic support to our small and mid-size clients. This person must demonstrate strong business acumen and possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine desire to proactively and consistently deliver results for our clients.The Consultant will work directly with our clients in developing and executing customized HR programs. Many HRG Consultants currently work onsite several days per week at our client's workplace, in our Lexington-based office, and remotely.HRG offers the opportunity to practice HR leadership in a flexible environment that values high quality HR practices, independence, & professional growth. HRG Consultants learn and develop through their work serving as HR leaders for our client s in differing industries and workplaces.ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will be results-focused, accountable, motivated and highly organized with the ability to evaluate current compensation processes and systems to recommend and implement improvements.Frequent compensation work includes:* Performing market and equity analysis of positions to assess salaries* Determining proper classifications of positions under the FLSA* Creating and updating compensation structures* Developing job descriptions* Creating job libraries/mapping jobs to an existing client s library* Reviewing and updating incentive plans* Creating compensation-related policies and procedures* Facilitating merit increase processes* Participating in market compensation surveys.* Establishing and maintaining a clear, well-communicated schedule for all phases of a project/initiative* Building credibility and influence with key stakeholders to drive project milestones* Developing relationships with people at all levels of the organization and becoming a trusted advisor to business owners and senior executives* Educating clients and facilitating collaboration to gain project buy-in* Providing data analytics, recommendations, and fact-based guidance* Creating presentations to lead clients decision-makingQualificationsThis position requires a proactive team-player with strong quantitative and conceptual skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills and be able to function and succeed in many different environments. The ability to encourage communication and unite different backgrounds will be a daily job requirement.Specific requirements include:* Bachelor s degree required (advanced degree is a plus)* 3+ years of experience in Compensation* 3+ years of project management experience within an HR environment* Consulting skills & ability to be viewed as professional and knowledgeable by our clients* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Strong team skills* Ability to establish strong relationships will all levels of an organization and serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and senior executives* Intermediate/advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including v-lookups, pivot tables and graphing)* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment* Ability to effectively prioritize tasks* Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work* Knowledge of HR metrics* Ability to benchmark, measure, analyze and articulate the value of HR initiatives, practices and policies* Thorough understanding of human resource principles and practices, including employment laws and regulations* Professional Compensation and/or HR Certification is strongly desired (CCP and/or HR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP)* Project Management certification preferredTravel may be required during key stages of the project.
