Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. As senior member of the Commodity Investor Sales Team covering North American institutional clients, responsible for the origination of commodity investor products and systematic trading strategies. Structure, price, market and execute financial derivative and structured commodities transactions for North American institutional clients in compliance with local and foreign regulations. Evaluate product features in coordination with internal credit risk management, legal, compliance, accounting, and tax teams as well as external legal advisors to ensure product compliance for risk management purposes. Responsible for managing relationship between customers and other businesses within Goldman Sachs. Develop and deliver pitches to client's senior management. Coordinate the work of Analysts on the team and ensure they are properly trained to support the desk. Lead legal documentation negotiations for new and existing client relationships. Report directly to Goldman Sachs senior management on business development across the client base. Run backtests and quantitative analyses on client portfolio strategies.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Physics, Financial Engineering, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field AND eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position covering North American institutional clients in the commodities investor products and systematic trading strategies space OR Master's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Physics, Financial Engineering, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field AND six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position covering North American institutional clients in the commodities investor products and systematic trading strategies space. Prior work experience must include eight (8) years of experience (with Bachelor's degree) or six (6) years of experience (with Master's degree): pricing and hedging financial derivatives (commodities) and performing quantitative modeling to structure and price financial transactions; performing analyses of cross-asset risk premium strategies and technical and fundamental analysis of the commodities markets; utilizing knowledge of North American capital markets and regulations, including UCITS and the Investment Companies Act of 1940 to identify investment opportunities for clients; utilizing Bloomberg, and modeling features of MS Excel, including Macros and V-Lookups; liaising with traders, structurers and legal divisions to execute financial transactions; applying the background theories of Alternative Risk Premium factors, such as Gorton, Hayashi and Rouwenhorst's Fundamentals of Commodity Futures Returns and Prokopczuk's Variance Risk Premia in Commodity Markets; connecting multiple parties across divisions and organizations to solve complex client problems, including presenting to internal committees and preparing memorandums on products and clients to senior management; utilizing understanding of financial math concepts, including Black Scholes pricing, open theory, variance swamp pricing, and generalized risk parity; building client relationships with users of commodities risk premium products; working in the physical and financial metals markets, and monitoring trends in the energy, metals and agriculture markets; liaising with in-house and external counsel to ensure compliance of transactions; developing relationships with institutional investors, banks, corporations, government entities and/or regulators for derivatives and/or physical product transactions; utilizing knowledge of pricing and hedging of financial derivatives, including commodities, credit, rates and FX, to structure and price products and transactions; and marketing to private banks and broker dealer franchises to generate new business through the sale of securitized products. FINRA Series 7 license required. 20% Travel required to meet with institutional clients across North America.
