We have an ambitious global Equity build out strategy, following the appointment of David Cumming, CIO Equities based in London, and we are seeking to build out our US Equity team in Chicago.
We are seeking an Equity Analyst to join the existing US Equity team, including equity analysts and portfolio managers. The individual will contribute to the US Equity portfolios by contributing sector-specific fundamental research and investment ideas.The Equity Analysts are organized by industry/vertical and geographical coverage and are expected to drive buy/sell decisions utilizing a fundamental, bottom-up approach to security selection. These ideas and industry knowledge will support the US equity products as well as the global portfolio teams who will incorporate US investment ideas and themes into their portfolios.
We are looking for an experienced analyst who is style agnostic, has broad sector coverage experience and is looking to be part of a collaborative, highly interactive team environment.
You will use judgement and experience to make fund management recommendations while working collaboratively with research and portfolio management colleagues across Aviva Investors to formulate and underpin security selection recommendations. You should be comfortable making recommendations based on extensive company meetings, fundamental analysis as well as peer review in assessing investment recommendations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience covering US securities in the mid/large cap universe with demonstrated history of success.
- Strong evidence of delivering research and/or investment ideas that contribute to superior, risk adjusted results.
- Experience meeting with company management directly to make investment recommendations and decisions.
- Ability to analyze financial statements, form and articulate investment ideas
- Energetic and forward thinking with high ethical standards and professional approach.
- CFA preferred.
