Business Support Officer

I'm currently looking for a temporary Business Support Officer to join the team at the beginning of January until end of March 2019. You will be primarily providing general office support to our transport and housing teams who sit within the Infrastructure Directorate.
*Providing support for specific committees and boards, under the direction of the Lead Officer and with advice from the Democratic Services Officer, for specific board meetings.
*Arranging meetings, preparing agendas, attending meetings, preparing minutes, carrying out follow up actions.
*Updating the Committee Management system and website to ensure papers are available to Members and the Public in line with statutory requirements.
*Setting up and supporting a variety of meetings and conference calls with both internal and external attendees, recording actions and ensuring these are followed up.
*Supporting SMT members with diary management, organising travel and general administration.
*Supporting stakeholder briefings and events, booking venues, organising invitations.
*Experience of providing committee support or similar in a relevant public or private sector organisation.
*Experience of managing Director/CEO diaries.
*Experience of providing administrative support in a dynamic and complex organisation.
*Experience of managing public enquiries by phone and email.
*Excellent IT skill including Outlook, Word and Excel
*£11.50 per hour
