A fantastic new opportunity has just landed on my desk for an L&D Specialist to work within one of the UK's most exciting fin tech start-ups. This role will come in & take full ownership of revamping the current L&D process as well as getting involved in further exciting projects.

The Role

  • Work together with HRBPs to support and advise on training needs analysis, learning & development solutions and performance management
  • Create, develop and deliver internal learning workshop content and materials
  • Curate e-learning content and general content management on LMS
  • Organise and run induction days
  • Create and manage onboarding and learning programmes for grads and Apprentices
  • Manage regulatory and compliance training including development related to the Senior Managers Certificate Regime
  • Organise and run lunch and learns calendar
  • Support the implementation of a leadership development framework
  • Develop relationships with third party providers
  • L&TD Projects; a combination of working closely with the Head of Talent & Development on large scale projects as well as ownership of own projects.
  • Process learning requests from the employees and manage the learning inbox
  • Organisation and logistics of training events, schedules and annual calendar
  • Creation and preparation of training materials
  • Maintaining training records and attendance
  • Prepare and analyse training feedback surveys
  • L&TD reporting
  • Learning spend tracking
  • General support to the Head of Talent & Development

The Person

  • Commercial and business view of learning and development - able to connect L&TD to business goals and use data to provide insights and measure success
  • Self-starter - there's no micro-managing going on here! so you'll be self-motivated towards great results and if you see something that needs fixing you'll be driven to fix it
  • Comfortable working in an ever changing and ambiguous environment - we love to disrupt and that means lots of change and quick, so you'll need to be agile and nimble in your approach to work
  • Creative thinker - we like to do things differently here so bring your new ideas with you and have a flexible view on learning solutions
  • Pragmatic - we need you to bring some sound judgement on analysing different scenarios and making decisions
  • Exceptionally organised - with lots to achieve together you'll need to be a planner to help keep our house in order, multi-task and reach our goals
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail - it's really important to us that we get our people data right and keep it safe
