The Role:-

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Regional Account Manager to join an award winning, mutual healthcare and protection insurer. A growing company that have been providing award-winning health and income protection insurances for over 100 years and have an exciting future.
Job Description:-
*To identify, develop and manage relationships across all Intermediary disciplines within a defined regional area for our protection products
*To meet and exceed Annual Premium Income targets across all Insurance propositions set in line with the company's objectives and targets, including sales quality
*To develop and maintain purposeful relationships with Network representatives, Intermediaries and other business providers, being the brand representative for the company's regional activity

Key Responsibilities:-

*To achieve agreed sales targets through identification and development of accounts across a range of products and propositions
*Work closely with the Head of Sales and the Head of Strategic Partnerships to identify sales and marketing ideas and business growth opportunities through maintaining regular contact with accounts in the defined geographical area
*Develop existing and build new relationships with accounts to establish the company as the preferred provider for Insurance, with relationships developed and maintained from Network representatives through to Firm Principal and sellers
*Analyse performance of defined geographical area to identify trends, offering solutions and recommendations internally to drive improved business performance using all available tools, including (not exclusively) Touchstone, CRM, DQM, Trade Press
*Agree and manage implementation of regional sales plans to achieve business targets and growth
*Work in an effective partnership with telephone based colleagues to effect and implement business plans and contact strategies, maximising the company's profile and visibility in the market place
*Manage a geographical territory to fully explore all sales opportunities, maximising relationship time by planning activity to minimise travelling. Segment the defined geographical area to create a business development plan and contact strategy to maximise opportunities for the company
*Seek to improve sales quality (DQM) ensuring that all actions are up to date and that sales are aligned with the company's requirements and regulatory principles
*Deliver confident, engaging and dynamic training, seminars and workshops to business partners to create and maintain engagement with and support for the company.
*Maintain a high level of product knowledge across all product lines, understanding current and future legislation that may affect relationships, along with key competitor contracts to enable objection handling
*Maintain a high level of presentation skills and, in conjunction with Head of Sales, develop and deliver one to one, group presentations and training sessions to firms in the defined geographical area Plan and record meetings by ensuring agenda, minutes and action log are kept for all clients/firms within region
*Submit activity and results reports to include the following data: daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and six-monthly territory analyses, along with regular competitor analysis about other providers' propositions, market developments, trends and feedback
*Demonstrate commitment to personal development, professional advancement and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks
*Maintain a strong and visible link with all internal departments, to facilitate the highest standard of service from the company to Intermediaries
*Ensure compliance with business governance processes
*Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by the FCA by maintaining an up to date knowledge and training record of the regulatory framework

Requirements:-
*Energetic, strong, self-confident and self-disciplined
*Self-driven, dynamic individual with proven ability to achieve and exceed target
*Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build new relationships
*Positive and challenging mind set with a collaborative style
*Confident at delivering presentations to challenging individuals and larger audiences
*Clear communication skills with an attention to detail
*Strong organisational, planning and time keeping abilities
*The capability to retain information across multi-product proposition and communicate this to the chosen audience clearly
*Experience of working with Intermediaries, IFAs and Wealth Managers
*Knowledge of protection and healthcare products is essential
*Proven track record of developing new and existing books of business
*Strong background in relationship and territory management
*Ideally hold a relevant industry qualification, for example CII
*Computer literate - Microsoft Office, CRM, Power BI
*Full UK driving licence
