InigoPhilbrick is a contemporary art gallery in Mayfair, London. We have a vacancy for a Public Relations and Client Development Manager. You will be supported by a Gallery Assistant.

The position is based in London with frequent international travel to the US and elsewhere.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Identifying target client groups and determining the best way to reach them
  • Generate artwork sales by bringing in new clients
  • Building and maintaining comprehensive and up to date client profiles to better aid the gallery in successful client relationship management
  • Working with other gallery staff and external PR companies to establish a marketing strategy for key events or projects and the gallery as a whole
  • Ensure all gallery staff adhere to the marketing strategy to maintain a coherent public profile
  • Gather data from the gallery's website, the gallery's 3rd party web profiles (Artsy, Artnet) and the gallery's social media accounts and use the data to streamline targeting of clients through these platforms
  • Share the analysed data in a clearly understandable format with other gallery staff and outside PR firms to aid them in their activities
  • Manage the gallery's social media accounts and 3rd party profiles as part of the broader marketing strategy
  • Writing press releases and preparing information for dissemination to the press and direct to target groups
  • Plan and deliver events hosted by the gallery in the UK and US
  • Represent the gallery at art fairs and other external events around the world
  • Manage the activities of a Gallery Assistant

Required qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from a leading university
  • Interest in contemporary art together with extensive network of contacts at the highest level among established collectors and other potential clients
  • Professional experience in a client-facing role
  • Experience in client relationship building to encourage new business
  • Professional experience working with web analytics tools
  • Thorough understanding and proven record of maintaining high profile social media accounts
  • Proven project management skills
  • Outstanding communication, research and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally
