Informatica is looking for an experienced and dynamic professional pre-sales specialist who wants to continue their career specialising in one of Informatica's growing technology areas: Data Management (DI) with a focus on Big Data & Cloud processing.
Supporting the EMEA Central Sales & Pre-Sales team with in-depth technical expertise of Informatica Big Data & Cloud offering while understanding market trends such as Social Media, Mobile data computing, IOT and growing BI needs.
The opportunity will involve:
Bringing Data Management advanced technology and product knowledge into solution sales opportunities to assist the field in complex engagements
Providing interface between the field Pre-Sales and other technology functions within Informatica, for escalations, product direction and feedback
Develop market and industry understanding of Big Data & Cloud; drivers, organization challenges, existing solutions and new technologies in the market
Evangelizing the value of Informatica's Big Data & Cloud offering with sales team, key customers and industry experts/analysts
Providing enablement to the Pre-Sales community on new and advanced capabilities of our Big Data & Cloud related technologies and solutions
The main responsibilities of the job include:
Support field opportunities with expert level knowledge:
Taking ownership in obtaining "technical closure"
Provide expert assistance
Conduct detailed architecture pitch/reviews of all products in assigned specialist area;
Demonstrate and execute POC's
Create repeatable counter strategies to competitive threats and provide subject matter material to support the broader Pre-Sales team;
For field issues involving areas of your expertise, provide ownership and arbitration for field escalation into other technology functions within Informatica.
Share knowledge across the team and continuously develop and enhance personal and team capabilities.
We are looking for someone who has:
At least three years practical working experience with DI core technologies and understanding of adjacent technologies such as Data Transformation, Data Exchange, Connectivity and Messaging.
At least five years Pre and Post Sales experience in delivering enterprise solutions to Fortune 500 customers
Proven experience with Informatica DI product set (PowerCenter/Platform, B2B, ILM)
Solution oriented - ability to leverage Informatica products to address business challenge and provide a complete solution to industry or a business case.
Understanding of Hadoop architecture and components
Hands on experience with at least one leading Hadoop distribution system - configuration and installation
Hands on experience with at least one Cloud infrastructure provider preferrably AWS or Microsoft Azure regarding integration cases
Excellent presentation skills
Willingness to travel
Strong English language skills
