Our pioneering products simply wouldn't exist if we didn't have the people to invent them. To develop them. To support them. To bring them to our customers, globally. And that's why HR is so fundamental to our success. This is the team that makes sure we have the right people, in the right places, doing the right things in the right way. Join us on our Human Resources Graduate Development Programme, and you'll help make sure our workforce is always ready for the next challenge while helping enable our employees to be at their best. You'll also have huge scope to contribute to real projects and to share your ideas about how we can excel in everything we do.

The programme

On this two-and-a-half-year programme, with three six-month-long rotations and a one-year substantive role, you'll benefit from on-the-job experience, formal training, individual and group projects and mentoring from a senior colleague on our buddy scheme. Our structured approach to learning will enable you to develop and grow - it could include CIPD accreditation and Green Belt training. After the formal programme, we'll support you in securing your next role, ensuring that you continue to round out your professionalism, your technical knowledge and your leadership abilities. This is all about accelerating your career so you'll need to be flexible, ready to work hard and keen to take every opportunity you get to try new things, support others and lead the way forward.

What you'll do

You'll support the business operationally and through the delivery of key projects across areas like business change, employee relations, leadership development, rewards and benefits. You might find yourself providing HR services at a specific site or one of our centres of excellence, or gaining people leadership experience and global technical expertise working as part of our Global People Services team. Recently, our graduates have been involved in our organisation's transformation programme, operating in stand-alone HR generalist roles and bringing to life our talent management strategy. You might work on something similar, or get involved in business restructuring, which could see you consulting with trade unions, the European Works Council, employee representatives and employees. Or it could be that you're developing strategies on talent management in a key business area. Everything you do will focus on generating business value and enhancing the employee experience, helping to make Rolls-Royce an even better place to work.

What you'll need

We're looking for ambitious, hard-working and tenacious graduates with a curiosity about and passion for HR. Leadership potential, strategic business acumen and excellent people skills are all important too - you're someone who effortlessly builds relationships and works well with others. As well as that, you should be inquisitive, resourceful, a natural problem-solver and overflowing with ideas. You'll have, or be on course for, a 2:1 degree, or an equivalent qualification.

What you'll get
  • Competitive salary
  • Work towards professional membership of bodies, such as CIPD
  • Bonus schemes
  • A competitive pension
  • Leisure facilities and numerous sports societies and social activities
