The Firm operates a rare and distinctive non-rotational system of training designed to provide freedom, flexibility and responsibility from the beginning. You will work across different practice areas at the same time and are encouraged to assume your own workload.
This allows for early responsibility, faster development of potential and the opportunity to compare and contrast different disciplines alongside one another. Because you won't move to a different department every six months, you won't miss the end of deals or trials you have worked on. Work will vary from small cases you may handle alone (under the supervision of a senior lawyer) to larger matters where you will assist a partner or an associate solicitor. The Firm runs a structured seminar programme to support the practical teaching you will receive from associates and partners with whom you work.

Successful candidates have obtained or are predicted a 2.1 degree in any discipline; have strong intellectual and analytical ability; good communication skills; and can demonstrate resourcefulness, drive, dedication and the ability to be a team player.

When to apply
We mainly recruit our trainees through our placement schemes but sometimes will make exceptions for those who are unable to complete them. Applications open from 1 September 2018 to 10 January 2019. Whilst we are currently recruiting for Training Contracts with start dates for September 2021, we may see fit to recruit into intakes with earlier start dates if places are available and suitable candidates are identified who can start sooner.
