Permanent Role-Full time

Our client is looking to appoint a Legal Secretary in Leicester on a Permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a successful team in a friendly and fast paced environment. They undertake various Family and Private Client and work at all levels. They provide advice to clients at every stage of their lives. They are very much at the forefront of Family Law and involved with Resolution and the Law Society.

As a legal secretary you will be required to provide Secretarial and administration support to help our clients busy planning lawyers across the Form and to deliver expert advice and guidance to clients through all stages of the planning process. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Legal Secretary to join a thriving team.

The Role

The successful Legal Secretary will be responsible for the following duties:

Previous experience of working in solicitors as a Legal Secretary is essential
Shared resource across all areas of the business
Providing timely and effective support to requests for assistance from members of the team
The accurate production of, and amendments by tracked changes to correspondence and documentation including through the use of digital dictation
Attending to clients in person and on the phone taking messages and assisting where appropriate
Use of a case management system to process and progress files
Managing file opening, closure and archiving
Producing bills and other financial administration
Managing diaries for the team, planning and organising meetings and making travel arrangements
Organising and maintaining departmental filing systems and document storage
Photocopying, scanning, faxing, printing, filing and other general administrative tasks
Solid previous secretarial experience is essential for this role.

The Candidate

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
Fast and accurate keyboard skills
Confidence with IT systems to include Microsoft Word, Excel and ideally PowerPoint
A minimum grade C pass at GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a legal secretarial role, ideally within a private client team
Fast and accurate audio-typing skills
Strong IT skills
Organise, prioritise and manage your time well
Strong communication skills
Team player
Strong work ethic
Outgoing, friendly and self-motivated

The Benefits
