Due to continued growth and improvements in medicine they are now looking to hire an additional Workshop Polisher.

Main purpose of role:
Reporting directly to the Team-Leader - Polishing, you will be responsible for the grinding, finish polishing and pre-inspection cleaning of both custom implants and off the shelf components. Clean and maintain all polishing and grinding shop equipment.. You will be asked to observe all safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment.
The job holder will be responsible for undertaking the following tasks:
Polishing of orthopaedic implants and associated instrumentation and tooling.
Meeting production deadlines.
Work within safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
To undertake training and development as and where necessary.
Perform other duties detailed by the Team-Leader - Polishing, as and when necessary.
Qualifications, skills and desirable experience:
3 years' experience in an orthopaedic production polishing shop or similar environment with a good working knowledge of surface finishing is required. A City and Guilds craft course is ideal.
As a team player you should be able to work closely with other colleagues, and be able to contribute ideas and suggestions in a clear and concise manner. High levels of self-motivation and the ability to achieve goals along with a willingness to learn are core values required.
The nature of the business means that there are quite often strict deadlines that have to be met, the ability to work under pressure and to give that little bit more is also very important.
