The Denver Technical Manager is responsible for ensuring Alamo Drafthouse Cinema presentation standards are at world-class levels. Perfect presentation is our standard and this position is accountable for ensuring quality control and training related to this are the best in the industry. A technical mindset as well as a passion for teaching and training are necessary for success. Denver Market Oversees Denver market projectionists and manages projection boothsCoordinates with Presentation and Training Departments to hire and train new projectionistsPerform regular performance reviews of projection personnelMaintain monthly lamp inventoryPlace orders for lamps, parts and suppliesOversee booth maintenance and cleanlinessSchedule quarterly preventative maintenance, compile maintenance logsWork within a budget for projection staffing and supplies orderingAct as point on communications regarding equipment repair and installationCoordinate technical needs for film festivals and special eventsServe as lead tech for complex eventsAssists Presentation Department as needed with equipment demos and equipment evaluationsWrites weekly projection schedule for the marketEnsures presentation quality and professional booth operation across the market Denver Site Visits Observe and evaluate onscreen presentationIdentify areas for potential improvementRecommend equipment upgrades and/or further projectionist training as needed. Theatre Openings Train and observe projection staffAssure that projection staff has all necessary equipment and materialsConfirm that projection and audio systems are operating to standard specifications
