QA/PI SPECIALIST II

Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to his/her job.
Usually in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting (up to 30 pounds), constant sitting, significant use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning and organizing skills, and be able to work under deadlines. Occasional work performance in a field environment involving remote locations, warehouse environments, flight line environments, machining and manufacturing environments, and outdoor assignments. Ability to travel using various means of government or contractor transportation. The foregoing conditions and physical requirements represent the general characteristics required to perform the essential functions for this job. In general, all positions may require standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Specific work assignments may include additional environmental conditions or physical requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. These specific requirements will be detailed in the job posting. Also, JT4 employees will only operate equipment that they have been fully trained on and/or certified to operate. If working in a training capacity, employees must be supervised at all times by a competent trained or certified company employee. Under no circumstances should employees use another employee's equipment without permission from their immediate supervisor or manager. Conversely, employees should not allow other JT4 employees or employees of another employer to use JT4 owned or assigned equipment without proof of training and approval of the shop manager.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Associates degree, or equivalent education or a minimum of four years related technical or business experience Minimum of one year in the area of quality assurance/quality control as part of the equivalent education or experience requirement. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications required (specifically MS Word and MS Excel). Ability to learn and use other software applications is required. Preferred certification by the American Society for Quality in at least one of the following: Certified Quality Improvement Associate, Certified Calibration Technician, Certified Mechanical Inspector, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Technician.
