Works an assigned shift and performs various law enforcement duties including the protection of persons and property, the prevention and investigation of crimes; the apprehension of law violators; resolves community problems; maintains community safety and security; controls traffic flow and enforces State and local traffic regulations. Physical Agility Test (PAT)- Pass/Fail - Tentatively scheduled for November 29, 2018. Candidates that pass the Physical Agility Test will be invited to an Oral Interview.3.Oral Interview- 100% of Overall Score - Tentatively scheduled for December 3, 2018. Candidates will be placed on an eligibility list and may be invited to begin the background process as positions become available. Final selection will be made by the Police Chief according to Civil Service Rules & Regulations. Prior to any offer of employment, a thorough background investigation will be conducted.SELECTION PROCEDURE: At the conclusion of the testing process, passing candidates will be placed on an eligible list. Candidates may be invited to begin the background process after the list is certified. Appointments will be made in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations. All candidates will undergo an extensive background process including polygraph, criminal history, credit history, driving record, military history, civil records check, past and current employers, drug and alcohol abuse, education, and reference contacts.
