We are hiring for an Outdoor Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team with a starting salary of £25,000!
As an Outdoor Logistics Coordinator, you ll be working with lots of interesting people, from our regular Forest School trainers to our lovely HQ team and great camp and workshop facilitators. It is also very hands-on, which means you ll get to manage everything logistics for The Hive, with your own budget and some real autonomy.
Who are we?
Set up in 2014, we re a social enterprise helping children connect with nature through immersive adventures and projects. Our unique mission-based approach supports children as they explore, create, problem-solve and collaborate in the outdoors. We deliver holiday camps, school workshops and Forest School training programmes in and around London.
You ll be able to work remotely for about 70% of the time, but will also get the opportunity to work with the rest of the team at our warehouse and at camp. You ll learn all about outdoor education and Forest School too. An affinity with children helps
Role and responsibilities
You will be responsible for working alongside the Managing Director and Operations Manager on all aspects of logistics within the business. This includes ordering, organising, maintaining and distributing learning resources, physical kit and technology equipment for our holiday camps, school workshops and Forest School training programmes.
Specific responsibilities include:
Developing and updating workshop and training inventories
Taking responsibility for all new kit ordering, including budget management
Managing existing resources and equipment, including stock checks, health & safety checks and basic maintenance
Helping organize camp and Forest School logistics, including sorting resources into "mission boxes" and delivering resources to our camp and training sites.
Maintaining a small pool of technology assets, including iPads, phones and laptops
Helping organise and maintain printed learning resources
Location: Hybrid working: 70% remote - 30% at our warehouse in South-East London
Contract Type: Permanent, preferably full-time 4 days per week considered
Reports To: Managing Director
Reward Package Salary: The successful candidate, with the right skills and experience will receive £25,000 per annum (for full-time role).
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days holiday plus one additional day per year of service
