We now have an exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Bioresources Mechanical Operator for our team in Ashford, Barnstaple.
As a Bioresources Mechanical Operator you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical equipment as defined by both Lean RCM and scheduled activities to the highest standard of workmanship including, but not limited to:
*All activities related to the operation & maintenance of the bio solids equipment at the site.*Monitor, fault find, maintain and repair a wide variety of equipment including pumps, gearboxes, and specialist treatment process machinery.*Apply first level maintenance activities to all onsite assets*Support the functional craftsperson in undertaking large plant complex repairs*Using Breathing Apparatus and working in confined spaces if required*Development of new skills both in and outside of your core discipline*Work with the site operators undertaking treatment work when necessary*Assist in blockage clearance*Pollution / Flooding clean up
[b]The Ideal Bioresources Mechanical Operator:[/b]
*Have the ability to fault find utilising a structured and analytical approach through to the repair of complex pieces of mechanical equipment*Proven ability to both operate and maintain in a proactive manner all activities related to the mechanical maintenance of the bio solids assets at the site.*Utilising a full understanding of related RAMS to deliver an effective and safe maintenance regime*Experience of working in a team and an understanding of the importance of teamwork*An NVQ level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering would be an advantage*Full UK Driving Licence
