The Payroll Specialist is responsible for corporate payroll functions for approximately 800 employees. This position will prepare and input data in Ultipro software. This position is also responsible for payroll reporting activities and reconciliation. The Payroll Specialist will work collaboratively with human resources and Information technology on special projects, and perform accounts payable functions when needed.
Combination of education and experience normally represented by a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business or related field and 3-5 years previous payroll experience, previous ABRA exposure a plus.
Must have knowledge of payroll and various governmental laws, wage and hour laws, garnishments, levies etc.
Must have good 10-key skills with solid PC skills.
Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work with and to communicate with a wide variety of persons a must.
Ability to work as a member of a team required.
Must have excellent organizational skills, strong detail orientation, the ability to work independently, and to maintain confidentiality.
Good working knowledge of computers with familiarity of Microsoft Office.
Must have good working knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications.
Must be able to work with a high level of speed and accuracy.
