Commercial Management Trainee
Posted on Dec 10, 2018 by Bravissimo Ltd
Bravissimo is a dynamic, entrepreneurial company which, since its launch in 1995, has grown to a 56m turnover business, with 29 stores and a well-established e-commerce operation. We offer a range of lingerie, clothing and swimwear to fit and flatter women who wear a D-L cup (28 to 40 back sizes).
Whilst the business has grown, our purpose remains the same as it did in 1995, to inspire our customers to feel amazing about themselves. We set ourselves high standards and are constantly looking for ways to improve what we do to offer the best experience for our customers. Our people are at the heart of our business and for the last 13 years, we have been one of the Sunday Times Top 100 companies to work for.
At first sight, Bravissimo may seem like a straightforward retail business, but behind the scenes there is a hugely complex operation that relies on the expertise, mindset and passion of our teams to keep it operating effectively for our customers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for 3 talented Commercial Management Trainee's to become experts in the key commercial functions that are particularly unique within Bravissimo; Marketing & Ecommerce, Supply Planning and Commercial Finance.
About the Position
As a Commercial Management Trainee, you will have the opportunity to spend time in our three commercial areas, giving you a real rounded experience in this area of the business. You will also spend some time with our customer facing teams to gain a broader understanding of Bravissimo and the impact of the commercial functions on the operation and most importantly, on our customers.
The programme will last between 18 months and two years, with the exact structure being individually tailored for each successful candidate. At the end of the placement, if you do really well, you will be offered a permanent position with Bravissimo within one of the commercial teams.
For all placements, you will be primarily based at our Head Office in Leamington Spa which is also home to the majority of our other teams including IT, Product and People & Culture. You may at times need to travel to one of our 29 stores dotted around the UK, or to our warehouse which is also in Leamington Spa.
We are looking for people with a unique blend of abilities as well as a particularly curious mindset.
The complexity of our data and systems means that you need to have strong analytical skills to really do this job well. If you are the right person, numbers will be your second language - you don't take them at face value, you see patterns and trends behind them. With this in mind, you are likely to have a degree with a strong numerical or analytical element.
Although you have a real passion for numbers, you should also have the confidence and passion to be able to articulate your ideas and findings to a wide range of business stakeholders, acting as a key partner to enable them to shape their functional strategies and initiatives, making the data digestible and understandable to everyone.
We are looking for future leaders and you should therefore have fantastic communication skills, an open mind to learn new things and a drive to continue to deliver a brilliant experience for all our customers.
Previous work experience is not essential as we will support you to build your knowledge in the commercial space. What is more important is a real instinct and understanding of our purpose and what we are striving to achieve.
If you are excited after reading this and feel that this could be the perfect position for you, we would love to hear from you.
