The Finance Systems & Change team (FSC) administers and developments the Finance system landscape on behalf of Finance to ensure it meets their needs. This role acts as the conduit between Finance and the developers within the team to ensure individual change requests larger scale projects are developed to meet the needs of Finance while adhering to the system design principles of the application.
M&G Prudential are undertaking an unprecedented business wide transformation and this is an exciting opportunity for a self- motivated individual who enjoys project focused work and systems implementation.
Responsibilities will be to:
Document user business requirements, convert them into functional design specification and gain sign of from Finance
Understand and identify the impact of projects on other systems/business areas within Finance and ensures the impacts across the teams are managed
- Play a lead role in the co-ordination of all elements of a project lifecycle through to implementation
Support the change process throughout the various stages of development, testing & implementation within Finance and IT
Consider the impact of key business issues on Finance and the associated systems
Drive a continuous improvement ethos across Finance to ensure the system landscape meets the needs of Finance
Document current processes with the ability to make recommended changes based on an analytical review
Key to success in this role will be your:
- Strong technical knowledge of existing in house EPM systems - Hyperion Planning or Board and HFM an advantage
Working knowledge of other Finance systems, especially in the ERP domain and reporting tools
Practical experience of embedding process improvements into a Finance department
Proven track record of delivery in Finance Change Projects
Understanding of finance management and statutory reporting process
Insurance sector experience
CIMA Qualification or Qualified by experience
