Team

We are now looking for an experience part time Compliance Assurance Officer to join the Compliance team at Endsleigh during this busy period of change and growth.

Role

The main purpose of the role is to deliver assurance to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board around whether compliance risks are adequately managed across Endsleigh.

You will take responsibility for establishing and maintaining the compliance risk universe and determining the annual compliance monitoring plan.

In addition you will carry out monitoring and assurance activities to ensure key Compliance risks are accurately assessed and reported upon as well as analysing MI to identify trends and systemic exposures to include the recording and monitoring of breaches.

Key accountabilities include-

  • Draw up the annual compliance assurance plan on a timely basis, in consultation with the Head of Risk & Compliance and the CEO.
  • Working autonomously, complete review work to meet timescales prescribed in the compliance assurance plan.
  • Clearly communicate findings and specific recommendations both face to face and in formal reports to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Monitor to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Prepare reporting for the Endsleigh boards.
  • Drive the compliance and conduct risk agenda
  • Oversight of employee fitness and propriety, competence and training
Person

With a passion and detailed understanding of good customer outcomes, you will have significant experience in a technical compliance role or compliance generalist or assurance role that includes a technical element. You will have built a strong, demonstrable knowledge of legislation and regulation applicable to the General Insurance industry, including a detailed knowledge of the FCA Handbook, particularly in relation to SUP, PERG, COBS ICOBS and FC. You will also preferably have a good understanding of anti-money laundering requirements and the sanctions regime. A basic understanding of risk management, governance and internal audit will also stand you in good stead for this role. An appropriate compliance qualification is preferred.

With excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, you will have the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a range of different audiences. Within role you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
