BI Project Manager

Job Summary
- Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the delivery of Business Intelligence Dashboaring Scorecarding and Reporting in Qlikview and QlikSense to treasury risk and liquidity reporting functions of the bank.
- Accountable to ensure that Projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Management of budgets and resources (£1-4M).
- Stakeholder leadership and engagement on client site and internally.
- Responsible for Risk management and mitigation. (RAID)
- Proficient in Agile, Waterfall and Kanban, PRINCE2, PMI, MSP, Microsoft Project, Jira, Slack.
- Providing effective governance leadership to PMO and Project functions.
- Setting appropriate meeting cadence and driving engagement in internal communications.
- Managing client and stakeholder expectation around change requests.
- Providing effective governance and change control.
- Providing effect reporting.
- Be an ambassador for Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Gathering and defining business requirements for Data Analytics.
- Collaborate and work closely with Product Leads, Analysts and other key stakeholders including IT, Finance, Treasury and Risk team.
- Dedication to appropriate documentation to ensure quality and consistent for happy stakeholders.
- Responsible for the creation and status of the project backlog.
- Working closely with development teams and Business Analysts to ensure that backlog tickets are clearly related to epics, project, change and plan requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to derive accurate and informed estimations of project resources and backlog tickets.
- Primarily responsible for reporting project progress and status, budget health, security reporting, issues, risks and resource requirements to stakeholders.
- Leading change initiatives and managing change control within the project, protecting the scope from creep and effectively managing change when threshold is reached.
- Chairing weekly support and maintenance meetings with the client, ensuring the service desk is appropriately reflective of issues raised.
- Ensuring acceptance testing is performed prior to release.
- Key player in the continuous improvement and best practice innovation of the project management office.
- Drive the translation of complex solutions to simple, transparent and concise plans and requirements with definitive milestones and clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven project delivery experience with complex technical projects and technology.
- Experience gathering requirements from stakeholders and understanding business deliverables.
- Experience with creating and maintaining risk management strategies and RAID logs.
- Excellent process-driven agile and software development experience.
- Experience in managing both internal and external stakeholder expectations with an ability to satisfy both in parallel.
- Working within a dedicated project team of five to twenty personnel.
- Relevant experience of working in a data visualisation, development and modelling role desirable.
- Experience of any of the following - regulated payments environment, acquisition integration, multi-year software development programmes.
- Previous experience supporting and maturing a PMO in software development desirable.
- Consulting experience desirable.
- Project management certifications eg PMP, ACP, Prince2.
