I am now looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to be UK based for one of my key clients based in Derbyshire. Ideally you will be Multi-Skilled but Electrical bias Engineer who has the ability to carry out the maintenance and repair to client's carriage wash plants, controlled emission toilet extraction plant and fluid / fuel storage and dispensing systems.
My client provide a range of specialist services, focused on the needs of owners and operators of rail facilities and sidings. They aim to develop long term relationships with customers, to understand their businesses in which they can tailor the services offered to meet their unique requirements. My client are totally devoted to making a mark within the rail industry and by pioneering efficiency coupled with flexibility. As the Field Service Engineer you will be based out of the Derbyshire site but will be UK based, and provided with a van.
The Field Service Engineer will be based out of the Derbyshire site but will UK based and responsible for the monitoring of the company policies and procedures. The post holder shall be responsible for site monitoring operational safety issues and reporting back to the Maintenance Manager and this post is supported by the Maintenance Support administration.
The key responsibilities are:
Be the first point of contact with the Client.
Ensure that you have booked on and off site by the client's representative / procedure.
Ensure the job sheet, work schedule, PPM book is completed correctly and signed by the client where applicable.
Return all completed paperwork to the office at the earliest opportunity.
Engineers reporting for duty are in possession of the required certificates for the work to be undertaken and are wearing the appropriate PPE.
To apply for the position of Field Service Engineer based out of Derbyshire but UK based you will have;
- Preferable to have a minimum of twelve months' track / plant experience.
- Preferable to hold a valid PTS certificate.
- Have a thorough understanding of the nature of the work, the working environment and the potential hazards.
- Hold relevant Electrical & Mechanical trade certification.
- Have a thorough understanding of the correct use of tools and equipment.
As the Field Service Engineer you will be provided with a van and will a basic wage of £34,500 with other increases depending on O/T. You can be based anywhere but must be flexible to work UK wide.
