DBLTAP esports, a leading esports media platform, is looking for a talented and esports obsessed video editor to join our English language editorial team in our New York City office. Candidates must have a strong video editing background and work experience in New Media, on camera experience a plus. Candidates must be able to commute to our office in New York City, five days per week. Candidates should have expert knowledge of League of Legends and be able to identify highlight-worthy plays in real time (the interview process includes an esports-knowledge test). A love of gaming is also strongly encouraged, we all love and play games on a regular basis, which makes for a fun environment. Adobe Premiere, as well as relevant work experience, is a must. DBLTAP, officially launched in June, 2017, is partnered with the top esports organizers and teams in the world, including: ESL, DreamHack, ELEAGUE, and Fnatic. DBLTAP produces fan-centric content, which connects fans with their favorite teams and players. We are looking for dynamic individuals who thrive under the challenges and pressures of a 24/7, fast moving editorial newsroom and who understand the challenges and opportunities that come with working at a quickly expanding start-up. There is also room for on camera talent to be a part of our League of Legends based studio formats. Previous on camera experience and high-level League of Legends knowledge is a must. Requirements: Must have a laptop capable of editing and exporting with Adobe Premiere, an account can be temporarily provided to you, if you do not have one of your own. Must be able to commute to our on-site office in Midtown Manhattan, 5 day per week intern (M-F 10am-6pm) Recommended 2 years video editing and production experience. Recommended on camera experience, if you test well on camera we can add you to our weekly League of Legends studio content. Must have High knowledge in CS:GO, League of Legends, Overwatch, Call of Duty, PUBG, Fortnite, teams and players is a must. Understanding of standards and best practices for optimizing video for web. The ability to follow directions, as well as take initiative and think outside the box. Candidates should: Be ready to work hard and create great content under the leadership of a great team. Be flexible and cool under pressure. There will be quick turnaround times for highlight packages, interviews, etc. Be passionate about both video and League of Legends, and be ready for the challenge of building our esports video offering. Be super creative and innovative while continuing recreating existing formats. Be meticulous, technical, hard working and organized.
