Director of Sports Performance

The Director of Sports Performance works under the direction of the Director of Athletics and with each Head Coach of the University's Athletic programs to instruct, educate develop, organize, and manage specific goals related to the programs Strength & Conditioning and Nutritional needs. He/she would be responsible for all aspects of the Department of Athletics Strength & Conditioning facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with Athletic Programs Head Coach to educate, instruct, develop workouts, and goals related to Strength & Conditioning. Instructs student-athlete population on proper techniques in conditioning activities. Instructs and educates student-athlete population on proper nutritional habits. Supervises all Conditioning workouts including summer. Orders and replaces weight room equipment Works with the Director of Facilities and Director of Athletics to manage Athletic Strength & Conditioning Facility (hours of operation, workers schedule, workout schedule, maintenance needs, and policies, etc.) Maintains National Strength & Conditioning Certification. Holds current certification in First Aid, CPR & AED. Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations. Holds valid Driver's License to drive University vehicle (Car/Van). Works with Team's Physician and Head Athletic Trainer to design and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes. Maintains records of facility usage, teams, student-athletes etc. ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (FUNCTIONS, DUTIES)

The employee exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working environment. Safety: Employee works safely, attends safety training offered/required, and follows appropriate safety rules and regulations. In relation to level of NIMs training completed, participates in incident management preparation and performs incident duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strength & Conditioning Certification recognized by the NCAA
- Experience in Strength & Conditioning training with Athletic teams
- Certification in First Aid, CPR & AED
- Master's Degree
- Experience as a Strength & Conditioning Coach at the University level
- Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations
