The Elim Group comprises Elim Housing Association and Lime Property Ventures, our commercial subsidiary. We provide housing support services to over 800 individuals and families, and have an ambitious growth programme, which includes the continued expansion of our Gypsy and Travellers housing service.
Our Gypsy and Traveller Service was established in 2013 and has grown from the management of 10 pitches in North Somerset to the ownership and management of 172 pitches in Bath, Weston-Super-Mare, Bristol, South Somerset, Gloucestershire and Devon. Supported by a team of three the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our service to Elim's Gypsy and Traveller sites.
The Gypsy and Traveller Service Manager Role
The role requires an expert approach from a person who has exceptional professional judgement and who is as at home chairing multi-agency meetings as they are engaging directly with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller families and ensuring that Elim Housing complies with all budgetary, statutory, regulatory and good practice responsibilities.
Requirements for our Gypsy and Traveller Service Manager Role
This is a varied and busy role where no two days are ever the same. Duties include line management of the Gypsy and Traveller team, alongside the provision of hands-on support with day to day site management, building successful relationships with key partner agencies, and leading the development of services, policies and procedures for this area of the association's business
The job requires travel, so you must be willing and able to travel across the Gypsy and Traveller Service area of operations as required.
