About the role
We are looking to recruit a number of customer advisers to join our exciting new service in Leeds. You will be joining us right at the start to support the launch and subsequent delivery of customer service within our new Contact Centre. This flagship service will support all of our helpline and customer enquiries and will provide information advice and guidance to a variety of internal and external cusomers and disabled people and their families. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to our varied customer base.
Being able to demonstrate that you are a customer service focussed individual with a friendly and empathetic manner is essential for this role. Having the ability to build rapport quickly, understand your customer needs and make informed decisions to source the right information from our internal and external content and training materials will be a key requirement.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication and able to use social media. Showing empathy and being able to respond positively to change and be able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities will allow to to succeed within this role.
You will become our experts in Scope's services, to enable you to make the best recommendations to help our customers so we are looking for you to be keen to learn. Some of you will become our highly knowledgeable subject matter experts. If you have knowledge of more than one of the following areas: benefits, disability rights, social care, enabled environments, housing, government policy relating to benefits and disability then this could be your opportunity to join our new team.
It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products and are a confident user of digital technology. You will demonstrate a positive approach to the adoption of innovative products and tools.You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving disabled people's lives.
We welome applications for full and part time hours as this service will have extended opening hours (8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 6pm on a Sunday). The flexibility to work within these hours on a monthly rota basis is required.
