LDP, Product Engineering & Development
Posted on Dec 8, 2018 by Rockwell Automation
Rockwell Automation's Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a distinctive 2-year program that produces world-class leaders capable of leading teams in a highly successful global company. Program participants rotate through Rockwell Automation in different US geographies, gaining exposure to the organization, working with current leaders, and developing the skills and competencies needed to shape the company's future.
We're looking for driven, highly technical and innovative upcoming engineering graduates (December 2018 or May 2019) with a strong thirst for leadership to join the New Product Engineering & Development career track of LDP. This track may be for you if:
- You have a passion for designing and developing products
- You love to code, tinker, repair, test, and problem-solve
- You want to deepen and stretch your technical skills
- You crave new experiences and challenges; you embrace the unfamiliar
- You have career aspirations to manage people and develop others
- You are geographically flexible and willing to relocate multiple times over a 2-year duration
As an associate on the Product Engineering & Development career track of LDP, you will have diverse rotations lasting approximately 6 months in various geographical locations. You will be engaged in a wide range of learning experiences including classroom training (via Rockwell Automation University), mentoring, career planning, networking, and exposure to Rockwell Automation's global engineering teams and businesses.
You will directly contribute to business-critical projects and product launches, and you will be exposed to leading-edge industrial automation technology that is developed within Rockwell Automation's major business segments in support of The Connected Enterprise. This may include software for automation, programmable automation controllers, intelligent motor control, machine safety, process control, industrial security, cloud computing, industrial Ethernet, motion control, industrial components, variable-frequency drives, and more. You will receive hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation's products, and see first-hand how customers in different industries use our products and technologies.
You will craft a personalized rotation and development plan, in partnership with your manager and technical mentors, to prepare you for post-program placement into a vital role on one of our product development teams, where you will contribute your expertise and further your growth as one of Rockwell Automation's high-potential future leaders. And as they say: once an LDP, always an LDP. Upon completion of the program, you will continue to have opportunities to engage with and in the program as part of the LDP alumni family.
