Responsibilities


Symposium Purpose:


The symposiums efforts are to elevate the career trajectory and ultimate success of the selected scholars.


Our education programs that range from pre-baccalaureate to post-doctoral provide an optimal opportunity to lean into this commitment. Among other endeavors, we are launching the Dr. Eddie Mendez Post-doctoral Symposium. This symposium will be dedicated to recognizing six underrepresented minority post-doctoral scholars from across the nation.[1] The symposium is a one day event on Tuesday, June 4th at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.


During the first year of the symposium, we are intentionally casting a broad net and inviting applications from post-doctoral scholars in any cancer research-related field spanning laboratory, clinical, and population sciences.



Qualifications


Symposium Application Requirements:


All applications must be received by January 31st, 2019. Awardees will be notified by March 31st, 2019.
