Take a look inside Vevo Vevo is looking for a Vice President of Sales Strategy & Partnerships who will be responsible for building sales strategy, managing emerging business divisions, and overseeing platform partnerships. This is a high-adrenaline, leadership role requiring deep industry expertise, proven sales and management ability with a particular penchant for closing valuable deals, and a broad base of industry contacts. You understand and anticipate how decisions are made, and you will persistently explore and uncover the business needs of our key clients. The role reports to the SVP of National Sales. This is a full-time position based at our office in New York. We are in a convenient location in Times Square near Grand Central, Penn Station and a host of subway options. As a member of the team, you will: • Lead strategy and work collaboratively across the general market, local, multicultural, programmatic and OTT marketplaces. • Create, manage, and scale a revenue pipeline with advertisers, agencies, and partners. • Create, aggressively pitch, close new business and exceed sales targets by using a robust solution-based sales approach. • Formulate and implement innovative sponsorship packages that maximize revenue opportunities with brands and agencies to rapidly expand the business. • Responsible for the development, execution, and delivery of quality solution focused client presentations at a "C" level. • Identify, evaluate and manage new business opportunities and marketing initiatives. • Drive results in a fast-paced, resource-conscious environment with a creative style and a strong vision. • Work with the product & marketing team to continue to develop and enhance sales messaging and collateral to highlight Vevo's unique benefits. • Drive analyses and partner with Research teams to support strategic decision making across sales verticals • Communicate vision and strategy effectively with potential and current customers/partners • Partner with Business Development teams on analysis to support deal negotiations and on the measurement of outcomes • Liaise with Business Development teams on the roll-out of new partnerships, including pre-deal analysis and post-deal execution This describes you: • Entrepreneurial and energetic: a highly self-motivated individual who works well independently and within a team environment • A Skillset and passion that is equal parts strategy, sales, and partnership management • Exceptional communication and presentation skills at all levels up to and including C-level executives • Team oriented and collaborative approach; outstanding listening skills and the ability to manage through influence • A decisive, inspirational, and experienced leader with strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally • Strong understanding of the Internet & broadcast media space, the music industry, search engines, online advertising players and related business models Requirements: • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications related discipline • 10+ years in online/interactive media sales management; minimum 5 years management or leadership capacity • Deep traditional television and OTT marketplace acumen • Solid understanding of the current AdTech and MarTech industry • Ability to influence others and lead cross-functional teams • Proven skills in operating with very senior clients, creating long-term relationships and delivering programs of significant impact within complex organizations. • Demonstrated people leadership; exceptional track record as a leader who finds, develops and cultivates outstanding teams You might like to know: • We're a fun, energetic, and tight-knit team • We enjoy music and technology • We have excellent compensation and benefits packages. • We have in-office and external happy hours • We have premier access to music content and new releases of original media content • We love to give away concert tickets to live music - not to mention live Vevo-produced musical performances • We offer a 401k match • We have a fully stocked kitchen • We are in an upscale New York city office with stunning views of Times Square Vevo is the world's leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform with over 25 billion monthly views globally.
