Category Account Manager

Spring Technology are currently working in partnership with a market leading, FTSE 100 organisation to recruit a Category Account Manager to join a highly successful sales team in Northampton.

The Role
In this role you will be responsible for converting sales opportunities for our clients market leading brand whilst supporting sales colleagues and managed services in securing short and long term contract sales. You will develop customer accounts and will be working hard to form strong and meaningful customer relationships, with regular reviews on development and strategic plans to see them grow.

The Responsibilities
*Respond to leads and enquiries from Sales and Operations colleagues for the whole category.
*Take joint ownership for enquiries and liaise with suppliers, customers and colleagues to ensure maximum chance of conversion.
*Record all enquiries and monitor conversion creating a tangible pipeline of future sales.
*Negotiate, monitor and propose appropriate pricing, focusing upon profitable sales growth and product mix.
*Form excellent commercial working relationships with the sales personnel of key group suppliers, jointly focusing upon agreed target customers and projects.
*Create and manage accounts showing the value of quoted materials, conversion, supplier value & forecasting future revenue.

The Requirements
*Experience of sales within the building and construction industry (or similar)
*Ability to build customer relationships over the phone as well as face to face.
*Ability to identify key customer drivers and construct appropriate propositions.
*Good grounding in commercial and financial aspects of trading.
*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a broad spectrum of individuals.
*Sound knowledge of all products and materials.
*Ability to work as a member of a team.
