You will be the first point of contact for local people looking for support with their mental health and wellbeing. You will help people to navigate services both within Mind and more widely in the areas that we work. You must have excellent communication skills, and with the support and training Mind offers you will develop a psychologically informed, person-centred approach and in-depth knowledge of a range of mental health problems.
This role is very varied and will allow you to work with people experiencing a range of difficulties not only related to their mental health but other social problems as well. As such the role requires a reflective and resilient individual who is passionate about supporting people when they need it most. Mind aims to offer the best possible level of service to people through taking a person-centred approach, using evidenced-based models, acting on feedback and evaluating our own services regularly.
The role also involves ongoing work supporting and coordinating people with their journey through the City and Hackney Wellbeing Network and supporting them to achieve their goals through the range of support on offer. Your role would include encouraging, motivating and educating clients on how to develop and maintain positive mental wellbeing through healthy behaviours and techniques.
