Quality Improvement Team Member

Donnington (Telford) - TF2 8JT

6 Month Initial Contract

£13.84 per hour

My client are looking for 3 Quality Improvement Team Members to deliver specific packages of work in support of Quality Improvements in an effective and efficient way to agreed timelines and outputs

Major Tasks and Activities:

  • Accountable to the Hd of Supplier Quality
  • Responsible for the delivery of defined work packages to include:
  • The review of existing shop floor work instructions, for suitability and sufficiency, working with engineering to introduce amended work instructions where appropriate.
  • Review Work order sign off, ensuring suitable sign off for the engineering risk.
  • Review use of supporting documentation, document holdings and document control, ensuring holdings and management is sufficient and suitable, according to engineering risk.
  • Support reviews of Planned Maintenance and Competency, to be undertaken by subject matter experts in Facilities and Training functions.
  • Support a review of Shelf Life recognition in Bills of materials.
  • Review Traceability requirements (Material, equipment and people), within the production process.
  • Support and implement new or amended business processes and procedures.
  • Ensure effective communication to all internal stakeholders.
  • Carry out corrective action activities and investigations as required.
  • Provide information and input to project reporting.

Key Outputs/Deliverables

  • The timely delivery of project deliverables as above.
  • Report regularly to Hd of Supplier Quality.

Technical Experience and Qualifications

  • Academic qualification, ideally ONC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Recent, proven experience of an engineering business/function.
  • IT Competent in use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good creative thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • The ability to share knowledge with team members
  • Comfortable working across a multi-disciplined environment
  • Flexible, can do attitude
