£19k per annum (pro-rate salary from £32k)

Macildowie HR are currently looking for a HR Generalist who has a solid background in employment law, dealing with ER issues, absence issues, recruitment and redundancy to join a large organisation in Milton Keynes on a part time basis.
In this role you will need to provide an effective, efficient, timely and professional generalist HR service to operational management, functions management and employees within a region. Advising and guiding on a range of HR issues, policies and practices and supporting the business in change initiatives and the implementation of projects as required.
Generalist Support and Advice
-Provide a professional generalist HR service to clients; supporting and advising management and staff on Company HR policies and procedures, employee relations issues and generalist HR subjects including:
-Employee relations issues
-Training and development
-Maintain an up to date working knowledge of employment legislation and Company Policy in order to ensure the delivery of a service which properly balances 'best practice', compliance and commercial pragmatism.
-Deliver a full support service to recruiting managers for graded vacancies, including:
-Assisting in the development of practical, effective, timely and efficient recruitment and selection campaigns
-Assisting recruiting managers in the choice and application of methods, agents, assessments and other R&S tools
-Supporting the 'on-boarding' process through all stages of induction and probation, guiding the relevant manager on interventions where necessary up to and including the decision to retain the employee or otherwise at the conclusion of the probation period.
-Supporting newly appointed personnel in order to ensure the maximum retention rates possible
-Advises managers on all aspects of absence management in order to ensure the effective maintenance of and improvement on Company standards, compliance with the law and with Company Policy and appropriate support for employees relevant.
-Advises managers on all aspects of disciplinary management, performance management and the management of grievances.
-Supports management in necessary investigations, hearings and appeals where required.
-Pro-actively limits formal proceedings (internally and externally) by providing progressive advice and guidance to colleagues such that an harmonious working environment is created and maintained, so far as is possible.
-Assists HR management in the resolution of collective disputes and collective bargaining where required.
Training and Development
-Assists and supports L&D colleagues, management and employees in training needs analysis, the identification of suitable learning approaches, delivery of training, facilitating learning experiences, and the monitor, review and assessment of L&D activities as required.
-Provide support for national development programmes, such as apprenticeships, management trainee programmes, the Operations Skills Academy, work experience, student placements etc. as required.
-Supporting and, where appropriate, leading organisational change programmes such as re-structuring, redundancy, business transfers, acquisitions, site closures, site opening, re-location etc.
-Supporting and advising management on audit results wherever and whenever HR0related non-conformities are identified.
Report / Statistics
-Provide managers and colleagues with appropriate and timely reports on HR related issues as required, producing and delivering presentations where required.
Provision of agreed management information as required.
