About this job:

Our client is a leading international organisation that specialises in temporary power rental (generator hire). Due to some exciting internal changes we are looking to recruit a sales professional with experience selling generators/ plant hire equipment/ industrial chillers into the construction market to join a growing and highly successful sales team. This role will be field based however the candidate needs to be in commutable distance to either Cannock, Nuneaton or Widnes.

This role takes a focussed, strategic and operational sales approach to the development of business opportunities in the construction market. Establishes relationships with key stake-holders and gains as much competitive advantage for our client as possible. Develops a stream of high value opportunities with a very high probability of award and converts these to orders. Assists in the technical execution of high value and complex projects. Full and complete account responsibility of particularly high importance accounts in the construction market.

Your key responsibilities:

* Proactively manage and grow revenue within a defined number of companies/accounts in your sales plan

* Understand the key drivers within your area that may lead to rental opportunities for Aggreko using this knowledge Investigate and create rental opportunities for Aggreko

* Network extensively within the defined accounts to develop an account plan identifying and setting up meetings with the key players with your accounts and area

* Build close relationships within your accounts and become a trusted advisor for rental solutions

* Identify, through pre-call planning research, key players within your accounts set up meetings and develop opportunities in line with the Blue Ocean sales process

* Create and close new sales opportunities

* Preparing quotations when you uncover opportunities within your area and accounts

* Build close relationships with internal sales to understand the opportunities presented by transactional hire within you area and accounts set up meetings to understand the rental potential and key players within these accounts

* Conducting site surveys for present and future requirements, involve technical specialists where required to support the best solution for the customer

* Project managing complex hires

Sounds like you? Here's what you'll need to demonstrate:

Professional skills / Experience:

* Experience of commercial sales gained either a field sales or new business development role

* Experience of operating in a fast paced, rental or hire environment

* Experience of heating and drying and power applications would be advantageous

Personal skills / experience:

* Technically minded - able to understand and learn about complex industrial applications

* Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and customers

* Ability to work under a low level of supervision

* Ability to work under own initiative

* Organised and able to prioritise

* Can present to an audience

* Communicate to multi-level customer contacts

* Track record in new business generation


* This role requires travel within the United Kingdom or Ireland

* Full UK or Irish driving licence required

* Strong Computer (ICT) skills - preferably with experience of MS Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
