The Trade Compliance Officer will ensure compliance with trade regulations.
-Ensure compliance with trade compliance legislation, and company policies, processes and procedures.
-Along with the Trade Compliance Manager, acting as a point of contact for export and import transactions.
-Track, audit and maintain records of import and export shipping documents generated in-house or by freight forwarders to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
-Maintain Trade Compliance documentation in support of the site record keeping requirements.
-Release trade compliance-related holds on shipments, whether exports or imports, only after all trade compliance requirements are satisfied and receipt of appropriate direction from management.
-Restrict and halt shipments not in compliance with Government regulatory requirement, licence approval and company policy.
-Assist in gathering information necessary to make licencing determinations. Prove support for the generation of export and import licence applications and classification requests.
-Interface with freight forwarders, brokers and other trade compliance-related third-party service providers, as appropriate, to ensure compliance with procedures.
Experience and Qualifications
-Export/Import Training and relevant business experience
