Job Title: HR Manager (Human Resource Manager)
Salary: £41,000 + travel allowance & excellent benefits package
Location: Huntingdon based with client meetings

Our client specialises in providing professional services in the form of HR, Payroll & Pension series, consultancy and training to the education sector. They work with over 1500 customers across 100 Local Authority areas. A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for HR Manager to join their team

As an HR Manager your duties will include -

Manage and support a portfolio of schools/academies on all aspects of HR management
Manage a high volume of complex ER cases
Respond to a wide range of customer enquiries and provide comprehensive advice on the full range of employment issues such as employment legislation, best practice, policy and procedures on a range of HR matters including complex casework, recruitment and selection, remuneration, terms and conditions of service, disciplinary and capability (performance and health) cases, grievance, redundancy and school restructures - liaising with our client's in-house lawyer and senior colleagues
Undertake client visits where appropriate to provide support and advice on HR issues
To attend and advise where necessary at formal hearings / appeals, including dismissals and attend and advise at union consultations meetings
Identify situations where legal/safeguarding support is needed and liaise as appropriate
Support with administrative and HR processing matters, as required
TUPE experience is essential
Harmonisation and mediation experience is desirable
The successful HR Manager (Human Resource Manager) will have the following skills / experience -

(CIPD) Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification (level 5) or equivalent hands on experience
Full Driving Licence and own transport
Minimum of 18 months experience in a senior advisory position
Experience of working across multisite preferably within education or closely related unionised sectors
Experience including advice and support for manager training, appointment and dismissal of staff, grievance, disciplinary procedures, absence management, redundancy etc
Experience of attending hearings including dismissal
Providing advice on employment legislation and conditions of service to ensure compliance and best practice
Strong multi-tasking skills and can work at a fast pace
Highly skilled communicator both verbally and in writing
Candidates must live in or around the Huntingdon and surrounding area
