Payroll Manager

£45,000 to £50,000 per annum basic salary, plus benefits including 25 days holiday, 10% bonus, 5% pension, etc..

Payroll Manager with 'hands-on' end to end Payroll processing experience and iTrent required by well-established private sector organisation based near to Cheshunt, Hertfordshire on an 18+ month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for either a Payroll Manager / Payroll Team Leader to play a major role in payroll operations for a staff of over 1000 individuals with a complex multiple-entity structure, leading a small team of payroll administrators and managing the benefits function of the organisation.

Main Accountabilities:
* Payroll processing
* Team management
* Processing and reconciliation of third-party payments (eg. HMRC)
* Management of Pension administration
* Ensuring accuracy of output and processing
* Liaising with Finance in statutory reporting

Skills & Experience:
* The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in payroll processing within complex organisations with 500+ employees
* Specialist knowledge of Tax, National Insurance, Pensions administration etc..
* Demonstrated Leadership skills
* The ability to build relationships with HR, HRIS and finance colleagues
* Exceptional organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail
* Strong systems skills and experience with HR / Payroll Systems well as MS Excel, Word etc..

Desirable Skills:
* Experience with the iTrent Payroll system

The Payroll and Benefits Manager will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in improving processes as the organisation is in the process of implementing the new Payroll system, iTrent. There are several interesting project on the horizon for the Payroll Manager to participate and lead within.
