IT Business Analyst

The Business Analyst is responsible for local business analysis, delivery of applications and projects including systems, services and support for Gap in Europe. The role works with Europe Business Partners to understand the specific needs and demands of the local business to deliver and support system and process's to meet business partner requirements. The role also work with the global business to support the Global strategy, leveraging US IT services and products where applicable and delivering local services as required.
The Business Analyst supports core organisational functions and business processes by:
·Analysing and understanding business systems and processes
·Identifying opportunities to optimise and improve efficiency through process changes and system enhancements
·Documenting business requests; collaborating with cross functional teams to influence the prioritisation & attain approval for project funding to deliver solutions
·Creation of Opportunity Assessments and ROI
·Creation of Business functional and technical requirements & design documents
·Supporting the creation of test plan and execution of test strategy
·Implementation of the solution by influencing deployment planning, training & change management
·Providing functional support and adoption to end users in production; partnering with application support teams on issue resolution & system stabilisation
·Measuring project results
·Collaborating with cross functional business and IT teams to identify and execute strategy to embed new efficient business, financial & operations systems and processes
·The ability to Understand, Analyse and document current and future business process systems, integrations and requirements.
·Collaborate with Business Partners to identify areas of improvement and inefficiency and create process enhancements.
·Competitor awareness and analysis.
·Creation of Opportunity assessments and business cases.
·Understands and documents detailed descriptions of user requirements.
·Creation and/or contribution of functional/technical requirements & design documentation.
·Participates and contribution to design workshops providing business and technical insights.
·Consults end user throughout design and development to gain acceptance and develop process updates.
·Creation and sign off system test cases & test plans as necessary.
·Execution of testing and validation as necessary; documentation of test results, prioritisation of defects and resolution.
·Collate user feedback and ensure where appropriate is fed back into the product.
·Organises UAT plan, test cases, and test scripts; runs UAT.
·Conducts knowledge transfer sessions.
·Creates and executes the post go-live functional support strategy.
·Creation of Training collateral and training execution.
·Contributes to deployment planning.
·Regularly provide updates to keep business and IT management well informed.
·Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) to assess and measure successes and look for opportunities to improve.
·Communication of results to business/IT partners.
·Contribute to departmental communication updates/Newsletter/quarter open/close etc.
·Provides application support to business functions and liaises with technical teams, support vendors and US application teams as appropriate to resolve application issues, communicate changes/impacts and implement upgrades/enhancements
