Printing Services Customer Service Specialist

Provides administrative, logistical, graphics design, and customer service support to the Printing Services branch. Responsible for inventory control/management, procurement/acquisition of operating supplies, obtaining price quotes/bids for printing paper and vendor jobs, and for tracking work from job initiation through production, quality control and final shipping to customer. Operates and maintains data in a print management information system. Ensures customer's specifications communicated via an online ordering system or through written and/or oral instruction are communicated to the print shop team. Works as the liaison to clarify any issues and to problem solve. May assist with operating digital and/or offset printing equipment to satisfy high volume duplication work orders. Performs graphics design work based on well-defined customer specifications, and/or coordinates engagements with graphics design firms on behalf of the customer. Performs a variety of bindery techniques and operates appropriate equipment in order to produce high quality printed products. Performs established workflow processes to produce and distribute orders while recording associated metrics accurately. Performs logistical duties and maintenance tasks to support operations in the Print Shop. Performs other duties as assigned.

Employment Standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to graduation from high school or a GED issued by a state department of education; plus three years of experience in printing services.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3- 5 years of experience working with customer specifications designs graphics to support marketing efforts, presentations, etc. Must have experience meeting with customer to make alterations as requested. Knowledge of standard industry tools and graphics libraries. At least 1 year of work experience coordinating large projects with graphics design firms under contract to broker work on behalf of the customer. Experience using Xerox Nuvera and color production printers a must.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to distinguish fine/minute details. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to lift 70 pounds when required during workday. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
