Data and Reporting Services Manager - HR People Services - Workday, ServiceNow

We are supporting global organisation.

This is an initial 9 month contract with a view for extensions.

The client is based in Amsterdam.

The hourly rate for this role is around €90, negotiated based on experience.

The Role:
  1. Define and drive the overall strategy for People Data and Reporting services within the organization
  2. Optimize and strengthen our People Data Quality & Governance model in partnership with our key stakeholders.
  3. Define objectives and priorities for the Data & Reporting team in alignment with the overall People Services strategy.
  4. Design and roll-out the operating framework in line with the overall People Services framework a.o. Roles and Responsibilities, tiered model, service performance management, day2day
  5. Act as the functional owner for all People Data and Reporting processes and Self Services
  6. Project manage a significant amount of data/reporting related projects and/or act as the main sponsor for key projects ieg Data Quality, Data Management, Retention Policies, Reporting Dashboards)
  7. Design and build dashboards (eg in Tableau) that will help the People Services department to drive efficiencies and effectiveness eg quarterly preparation of the People Services and Strategy deck, including but not limited to key performance indicators (KPI) and key business trends
  8. Analyze People Services data and translate into qualitative reports
  9. Bring in new concepts (eg tooling, process) in alignment with market best practices
  10. Support through data and reporting the People Services Operational Excellence ambition, allowing the People Services to remove waste in our People Services processes
  11. Manages stakeholders within People Services (peer to peer), HR and People Systems and beyond (eg Risk)
  12. Prepare and conduct bi-annual performance reviews and keep track of individual (objective) progress throughout the year
  13. Get things done from others ie install data stewardship within People Department according to the Data Governance and data asset documentation
  14. Design and roll-out an upskill programme regarding (Master) data and reporting within People Services
  15. Explores opportunities to further expand scope of Reporting and data related services within the organisation as well as other entities.
  16. Create a proposed organization/team structure, including required skills and capabilities and fine tune the task description and profile of the future Data and Reporting Team manager


Ideal Experience & Skills:
  • A proven track record of 8+ years in Reporting and Data Management, leading and managing service, product or project teams, with fast changing multinational organization.
  • Experienced in managing a team
  • Extensive knowledge on People Services, Operations Management, Reporting and Data Management, and strong affinity with technology as a key enabler for Services.
  • Knowledge in data quality requirements and implementation methodologies, including Data Management requirements based on best practices, eg DAMA-DMBOK.
  • Expert in delivering large scale organizational change programmes and/or people roadmaps.
  • Strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and partner with different stakeholders to impact business decisions and thinking End2End
  • Ability to work globally across different business models and with stakeholders and teams with different cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills, including, influencing, coaching and mentoring.
  • Excellent strategic, management and leadership skills.
  • Experienced in automation initiatives in data management and reporting
  • Able to translate ideas into concrete plans
  • Understands change and resistance that may come with the setup of a new department and service line
  • Familiar with Workday and ServiceNow is a strong asset
