Data Governance Senior

Salary: $110k-$130k + Bonus

Location: McLean, VA

Hybrid Role: 2 days in-office/3 days remote

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of information risk and data governance experience within the financial services industry
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, IT or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred
• Experience defining and documenting business processes and information flows including metadata and data lineage
• Understanding of industry standards related to information risk management and data governance
• Understanding DMBok/DAMA framework and DCAM maturity assessments
• Familiarity data governance and metadata management tools (Collibra, Informatica, Talend, Snowflake, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Roll out the I&CM data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality, issue management and the protection of sensitive data through appropriate procedures and controls
• Build and maintain data quality reporting
• Identify, assess, and design remediation action plans for data issues and monitor their progress to completion
• Analyze risks related to data, monitor key indicators, and produce monthly risk governance reports and materials for Risk Committees
• Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and Technology to ensure that data related business requirements for appropriately handling and protecting data are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood
• Conduct annual DCAM assessment
• Develop, improve, and streamline divisional procedures and job aides
