A leading Mobile Telecoms company is searching for an Acquisition Manager to join their team on a contract basis.

Role:

  • The Acquisition Manager will work within a small team and will be responsible for managing suppliers to deliver end-to-end site passive infrastructure (Design, Acquire and Build).
  • Participate in Shareholder negotiations with Three in such areas of Integration as applicable and resolve any day-to-day issues that may arise
  • Ensure that property strategy and acquisition are implemented to allow time for sites to be upgraded to support the network leadership position - this includes the strategy to understand what rights need to be in place in the short, medium and long term
  • Seek commercial opportunities wherever possible
  • Prepare updates for Board and senior management meetings
  • Provide explicit instruction to the project-specific delivery teams on what is required to be delivered on-site as part of that deployment.

Skills Required:

  • Strong data analytical skills - As there are thousands of live instructions and potentially a large volume of clashes it is imperative that any candidate has the ability to undertake large-scale data manipulation to ensure cost and time are accounted for.
  • Mobile Technical Knowledge - Technical knowledge of the end-to-end acquisition and planning process is critical. Combining the two allows for easing the Acquisition and Planning paths by suggesting alternative design solutions and calling out proposed solutions.
  • Commercial Awareness - In order to make the correct decisions, it is vital to have commercial awareness and understanding of the costs required to build/upgrade sites and the high-level costs of the various activities. Also, an understanding of SWC fees typically associated with RAN Upgrades is desirable.
  • Stakeholder Management - the candidate needs to be confident in dealing with a wide variety of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Supplier and Conflict management - Most instructions sit with sub-contracted Acquisition and Design partners. The candidate must have vast experience handling site-by-site calls to drive performance with actions called out and delivery dates agreed.
