Job Title: Product Portfolio Manager

Project Title: Connectivity product management

Project Location: Paddington OR Milton Keynes (2x-3x days a week remote)

Duration: 2-3 Years rolling Contract

MUST HAVE: worked in telecoms either currently or recently

Background

(Client) Telecoms is transitioning from being an asset management focussed organisation to a service led organisation. To facilitate this transition (CLIENT) needs to bolster its product management function, in order that it can fully define and document its service offerings in order that it can meet the demands of its route and regional customers. This service definition activity, coupled with the parallel development of service level agreements (SLA's) is a key activity that is supporting the telecoms element of the Putting Passengers First Programme (PPF)

Business Objective and Priorities

  • Provide expert service portfolio management and guidance by engaging with relevant (CLIENT) and non (CLIENT) teams. Develop and document the service requirements to deliver a clear understanding of the service offering and value proposition.
  • Definition and development of service definitions, aligned to railway requirements, industry best practise, the (CLIENT) strategy, providing consistent and high-quality service options that can be fulfilled and operated by (CLIENT)
  • Definition and development of end to end service models in conjunction with a service designer, aligned to railway requirements, industry best practise, the (CLIENT) strategy, providing consistent and high-quality service options that can be fulfilled and operated by (CLIENT)
  • Senior stakeholder management in the acquisition of service signoff through the service governance process to deliver awareness and agreement to the service strategy
  • Create the customer facing service documentation, including updates to the service catalogue and deliver presentations to clearly articulate the service value and benefits to the customer business, passengers and railway personnel
  • Lead virtual teams of subject matter experts (SME's) from across (CLIENT) during service development to provide the right level of technical, implementation and operational competence into the solution proposal documentation
  • Technical engagement of approved suppliers to deliver cutting-edge customer solution options using 3rd party services and technology. This includes developing an in-depth understanding of 3rd party products and road maps negotiating the best to outcome to the project team, (Client) and customers
