Senior Dispatcher

Salary: £27,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week, shifts between the 7am and 6pm window
Location: Green Lane, Walsall

We currently have an exciting opportunity at our Green Lane site for a Senior Dispatcher.

As a Senior Dispatcher you ll ensure that our field teams have the right work at the right time to maintain our assets to the highest standard. You ll use Maximo to build and release work for field teams, establishing resource capacity against demand requirements, and building an efficient plan for the teams to complete. Most importantly, you will ensure that the customer is kept at the heart of all we do, ensuring communication for every job. You ll be the Senior member of the team, taking a lead on team strategy, and representing the team at meetings. You ll track, own, and report confidently on performance metrics for the team, using data to make operational decisions and drive delivery of actions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage proactive and reactive resource demands into a balance and achievable schedule of works.
Effectively allocate work to Operational Resource within SLAs, to ensure effective utilization of jobs.
Ensure customers are kept at the heart of all our works, with 100% timely communication, explaining the steps required to complete the necessary work to their satisfaction
Jeopardy manage our workflow, redistributing work in a day as priorities and service levels change to meet customer and business need
Liaise with operational team leaders and teams to ensure feedback is provided on delivery and available capacity against demand.
Utilise the auto-scheduling tool to ensure SLAs are met and exceeded.
Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and best practice, through successful problem solving and active daily stand up participation.
Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals, and identifying new areas for new training or skill checks
Assist Leadership Team with hiring processes and new team member training
Attend business meetings on behalf of the Planning Team, and take actions to deliver against strategic improvements Answer team member questions, and act as a subject matter expert for the dispatch function
Communicate performance targets and process changes to team members
