Water Infrastructure - Asset Management Analyst

Salary: up to £40,000 depending upon skills & experience Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Location: Green Lane, Walsall/Fulbourn Road, Cambridge

At South Staffs Water we deliver clean and reliable water supplies to around 1.5 million customers within the South Staffs and Cambridge regions.

Based at either Green Lane Walsall or Fulbourn Road Cambridge with travel to the other site.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Asset Management Analyst to join our team and play a crucial part in the delivery of our Asset Management Strategy. You will build on work carried out during the latest Price Review period by using and promoting asset management tools and techniques to improve our understanding of risk, performance and serviceability, ensuring we maximise value from our asset base. Working effectively across internal teams and promoting best practice through industry wide engagement, you will have the ability to challenge existing processes and the necessary skills and attributes to support the development of customer focused strategic investment plans that underpin our regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Support the promotion and maintenance of the asset management strategy in delivery of key business targets
• Develop tools and processes to centralise and present strategic asset information
• Undertake risk based cost benefit analyses to identify and provide the business case for future investments in our assets
• Seek opportunities to improve the performance of our assets and the system as a whole, with particular emphasis on enhancing asset data collection and use across the business
• Engage widely with asset owners and internal stakeholders to understand existing ways of working and drive asset management improvements
• Support in delivering the requirements of the ISO55001 asset management accreditation
• Promote best practice/innovative techniques through cross-industry engagement with asset management practitioners

What we are looking for:

Educated to Degree level and/or with equivalent asset management work experience you must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as being conversant with Microsoft Office. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well with others whilst challenging current ways of thinking. You will need an open and analytical mind as well as a flexible approach to work, and an ability to work to tight deadlines. You must also possess a full valid driving licence as the role will include field based work. Previous water industry experience is desirable but not essential.
