Head of Operations - London - Hybrid Working (2 days in office) - £600 per day//£75,000 FTC
Job Purpose
The Head of HR Operations is responsible for delivering a high-quality end-to-end employee life cycle service for all employees. The postholder will have a strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation, driving a customer-centric approach to HR delivery that responds to changing business needs.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide specialist expertise to AD People Services and to the organisations Senior Leadership team and Heads of Service on effective HR Operations delivery.
- leadership of an innovative, efficient and effective HR Operations function, specifically covering a wide range of customer driven services including HR Services, recruitment, and HR casework.
- Work closely with the People Services Leadership Team to focus on continuous improvement of HR operations to support the delivery of the organisation's people priorities of leadership; development and talent; wellbeing; employee engagement and diversity and inclusion.
- Support and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, value for money and organisational excellence, contributing to corporate priorities and the organisation's overall delivery aims.
For the first 12-18 months, the post holder will be heavily involved in the detailed design and transition to a new operating model for the HR function (of which this role is part of). As such, the exact responsibilities may change slightly.
Knowledge and Experience
- CIPD Qualification (Level 7) or equivalent experience with an excellent understanding of relevant Human Resources and employment law and legislation compliance
- Experience in reviewing HR Operations functions at a senior level to drive continuous improvement in customer service
- High level of knowledge and understanding of HR systems, ideally with experience of implementing new and innovative software.
- Experience of providing advice at a senior level on any aspect of the Operations function with credibility and resilience.
- Experience of staff management, development, training and motivation in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Successful delivery of and proven passion for an equality, diversity initiatives to support the achievement of core strategic objectives
