Senior Project Manager (Environmental Services)

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Core Hours 9.00am-5.00pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break (flexible working options also available), Monday to Friday, with the occasional need to work overtime to support business and project needs. Inter-company site visits potential

Key tasks of the role

Principal accountabilities:

• Management of complex, multidisciplined projects from enquiry through to invoicing
• Ensure that the technical, financial, contractual, quality, HSE and other obligations are met in accordance with both company and client standards
• Play a leading role with the marketing, development, and growth of the company s portfolio of services
• Lead client visits and presentations, as well as the assessment, preparation and submission of pre-qualification and tender documents
• Co-ordinate and input to the tendering process, liaising with internal teams to ensure bids meet required specifications and proposed methods are achievable
• QC of tender documents and Project Documentation
• Approve costings, proposals, and project documentation
• Collaboration with wider Seiche Group
• Overseeing of Project Managers and projects to support the Associate Directors
• Training of Project Assistants and Project Managers
• Respond to requests outside of standard business hours
• UK and overseas travel will be essential and required in this role to support of client relationships and project start up activities
• Maintain and develop existing client and supplier relationships
• Building collaborative links with industry, technical and academic institutes
• Building relationships with SNCBs
• Monitor KPIs, including budget throughout project cycle
• Manage client expectations and resolve issues or client complaints quickly

• Marine Mammals and Marine Ecology (desirable)
• Global environmental law and environmental processes in key areas
• Offshore industry and operations (desirable)
• Understanding of environmental impacts of offshore development and operational activities on marine mammals (desirable)
• Knowledge of different marine mammal mitigation methods and tools globally
• Knowledge of Seiche Products
• Underwater Acoustics

• Marine Mammal Mitigation in the offshore industry (2 years field experience)
• Project Management (min 3 years)
• Offshore MMO / PAM Experience
• Experience working with a wider diversity of offshore industries and marine regulators and SNCBs
• Leading or Managing Teams

Education & Certification

• Martine science related degreed (BSc - preferably in a marine environmental related subject)
• JNCC / BOEM / DOC MMO and PAM Training (desirable)
• Project management / Scientific accreditation or equivalent
• Health and Safety qualification or training (desirable but not essential)
• Training provided
• Must drive due to location, client, and site visits

The nature of this role will mean that the successful candidate will be expected to respond to requests outside of standard business hours, additionally potential inter-company site visits, client visits, marketing events and possible global travel will be essential in this role
